I just wanted to say what a wonderful tribute you have done to your loving Dad.  Upon reading it, he reminded me so much of my dear "Papa" that  also passed in 1999 due to heart trouble. My Papa loved to fish and he was a shade tree mechanic also. If anyone could fix it, he could! I know how much you miss him and my heart goes out to you and your family. I have learned over the years, we still miss them more than words can say, we just learn to deal with our pain a little better.  God Bless you!! Close

I miss you Daddy.  It has been 7 years today.  I wish I could still see you, but I know you are still here.  There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about you. I love you and miss you everyday. Close

Moments in Life

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them. Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do. May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.

Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person, too. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything, they just make the most of everything that comes their way. Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives.

Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

For My Husband / Kay Best (Wife)

million times I needed you
A million times I cried
If love alone could have saved you
You would have never died

In life I loved you dearly
In death I love you still
In my heart you hold a place
No one can ever fill

A light from our household is gone
A voice from our love is stilled
A place in our vacant home
Which never can be filled

Some may think you are forgotten
Though on earth you are no more
But in my memory you are with us
As you always were before

It broke my heart to lose you
But you did not go alone
A part of me went with you
The day God called you home

Your precious memories are for keepsakes
With which I never part
God has you safely in His keeping
But I have you forever in my heart

With all my love,
I miss and think of you each and every day

I never had the privilage to meet you - but I feel I know you a bit from your daughter - Keli.  I would loved to have met you so that I could say thank you - thank you for Keli,  I know that you are proud of her as a daughter,  I am proud to call her my friend.  You had such an impression on her,  she loved and continues to love you so very much - so you must have done something right!  As a parent I know to have your childrens love and respect doesn't just come to you - you earn it and I know that you were a wonderful man for all the love your daughter has for you.

Many blessings -

16 years ago yesterday you gave me away to Darin.  I am so glad that you could invite other kids in to your heart, and "adopt" them as your own.  I know that Chuck, Darin, Gina, Michelle, Julie, Pat, Jeff, Patti, Lori and so many others that I can not even name them all, loved you like you were their Dad.  You had a way of letting people know they were loved.  You were "Dad" to so many kids and they were lucky to have you in their lives. We will miss your twinkle, and smile always.
